We met for prayer around 7 before welcoming men and women from the streets. We had food from both Pret and GSO which was well appreciated and as the night progressed we prayed for healing for a male and a female both in considerable pain. The male was greatly helped as a result of our prayers. It was great to see some new faces and some old with around 17 people attending cafĂ© connect on the night. R spoke to me about support group help so he has been asked to come in this coming week for an assessment. A male needed information about places to go for food and clothing over the week end and he was given three different possibilities to pursue. A female became quite distressed when she thought her mobile had been stolen at the City Mission earlier in the day but we phoned for her and managed to trace the phone for her. We shared from Psalm 34 The Pssion Translation around 9pm encouraging the group remaining to seek God’s Shalom peace in their lives and this was well received by all. Pret had sent us a message to make contact with them for more food collections as other organisations seem to have stopped collecting. We ended the evening at 10 thanking the Lord for answering our prayers and making the evening so blessed for all concerned, staff and volunteers. Thanks to all prayer partners. Next outing for GSO/SC will be October 5th but I will confirm this nearer the time. Thanks to all volunteers, Stephen. PS We did the assessment with three attendees.
